Please note that we are unfortunately unable at the present time to offer live interet bidding and ideally active bidders will be in the Saleroom in person during the Sale in order to bid. Absentee bids can be taken (please click on 'Bidder Registration' above) but please note that all successful lots must be collected on the day of the sale or can be sent under prior arrangement with the Auctioneer and at the appropriate fee. Lots purchased by ansentee bidders and not collected on the day of the sale without prior arrangement will be charge storage at the cost of £5.00 per lot, per day.
If wishing to leave a bid with the auctioneer this will be on the strict understanding that all lots won will be paid for and collected within two hours of the end of the sale as per the Terms and Conditions. Registering to bid and leaving a maximum bid with the Auctioneer is a contract to purchase if successful.
All bids left with the Auctioneer are recognised as being a maximum and not a starting bid. This means that the Auctioneer will not start the bidding at your maximum amount placed but will use that bid to increment any bids in the room up to that figure if necessary.
Ideally, we would ask that all successful lots bought are only removed from the Saleroom after the Sale but we recognise that commitments may take Buyers away before matters are concluded. In that event we politely ask that items are removed as quietly and unobstrusively as possible so not to interrupt the flow of the bidding. In all cases either during or at the end of the Sale, all lots will be collected for the Buyer by an Auction Porter. Please also do not remove lots personally or amalgamate lots for later collection.
